Some Frequently Asked Questions about Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture:

How many treatments will I need?
A Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture series is generally 10 to 15 treatments, with an average of twelve.  Treatments are scheduled at once or twice a week.  Three treatments a week are possible, as long as you are healthy and tolerate the treatment well.  Treatments are best scheduled with at least one day between them.

Can my other health concerns be addressed while doing a Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture series?
Yes!  Your individualized treatment plan can include acupuncture points that will address other issues.  Also, other non-acupuncture treatment ideas may be suggested.  In fact, for best Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture results, it is recommended that other health conditions be addressed.

When will I see results?
Results from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture may be seen as early as following the first treatment.  It is usually around the 7th treatment that results are more dramatic, and lasting.

How long do results last?
Much like surgical face lifts, actual outcomes and the duration of the effects can not be predicted.  Lifestyle and age can greatly affect maintenance of results.  Results generally last 2-5 years, with maintenance, and sometimes much longer (10+ years).

What is needed to maintain results?
For best results, “booster” treatments are recommended, at least seasonally, and possibly monthly, to protect both your investment, and your health.  The necessary frequency will be individually determined.

What issues can be addressed with Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can address many different issues including:  bags under eyes, sagging cheeks/jowls, drooping eyelids and eyebrows, puffy eyelids, acne, dry skin, red skin, red nose, pale skin, wrinkles (upper and lower lips, around eyes, forehead furrows, crow’s feet…), sinus congestion, puffy face, double chins, scars, enlarged pores, male-pattern baldness, broken capillaries, age spots, TMJ.   Sometimes, eyesight and hearing improve, smells change.

Will I look younger after my Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture series?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture generally takes five to fifteen years off the age of your face.  More importantly, some underlying health imbalances may be addressed, improving your overall health from within.  Health is beauty!

Are there any contraindications to Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
Certain conditions need to be addressed before a Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture series begins.  These include:  Migraine headaches, Diabetes Mellitus, and High Blood Pressure.  Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture should not be undertaken if you have bleeding or bruising disorders, have a pacemaker, are currently dealing with cancer, or suffer from seizures or epilepsy.  Treatments should also be temporarily avoided if your are currently pregnant, have a cold or the flu, have a current oral herpes outbreak, or a sunburn.  Dr. Campbell will pre-screen you for treatment before booking your appointments.
